Review by hotel critic
At Albergo Italia, I found a charming little haven that strikes a balance between simplicity and comfort, ideal for both a solo adventure and a getaway with friends. Nestled just 500 meters from the center of Molveno, it's conveniently located for those who want to indulge in the local shopping and breathtaking lake views. The on-site restaurant impressed with its local cuisine, especially during my first visit; the breakfast buffet was a delightful way to kick start the day, complete with hot drinks and fresh juices. The rooms, while basic, had all the essentials and a lovely parquet floor that felt warm underfoot. I particularly enjoyed the small balcony with a sensational view that offered a peaceful retreat after a day of hiking—an experience enhanced by the attentive staff who, despite language barriers, shared their local insights generously. The housekeeping was on point, ensuring my space remained clean and functional with handy free toiletries provided. Even though the WiFi could be fickle, the convenience of storing my bike gear and the ample free parking made it all worthwhile. Just a heads-up: call ahead to ensure the chef's in; you won't want to miss out on that culinary experience!
